'Evolution is Dead'

I handed this postcard out at my N.C.A.D. undergraduate degree show, entitled 'Playing God'. The idea was to show the toy soldier progressively getting bigger [as I liked the concept of showing them 'growing up', as apparent with my large-scale soldier sculptures]. I also wanted to incorporate the idea that evolution has yet to produce a peaceful version of humanity.

The League of Gentlemen: Apocalypse [2005]

Bizarrely, I was contacted by the set designer on 'The League of Gentlemen: Apocalypse [2005]' feature film who asked if they could use the image in the background for one of the scenes. I was a big fan of the TV show, so how could I refuse? The image appeared in a scene featuring Jeremy Dyson [Michael Sheen!], who plays a writer in the film. In the scene, Dyson has had a great new idea... To give all of the characters in the show 'tails'! Below is a still from the film showing the 'Evolution is Dead' image in the background... tails attached!
